DON’T MISS THIS SPECTACULAR SHOW DEFENSE & SECURITY 2009 Asia’s Biggest Military and Security Event of the Year! Six years
ago in 2003 no one paid much attention when Thailand announced
its first Tri-Service military exhibition. Nevertheless the show
went on and turned out to be a success. Since then the bi-annual
event has gone form strength to strength.
The 2007 exhibitions had over 250 major international exhibitors from 28 nations. Visitor arrived from 47 countries and with the addition of the Internal Security section results were even more impressive. Defense & Security 2009 will be the biggest show yet and rank the event as one of the most important Tri-Service defense and security exhibition in Asia. It is fully supported by the Thai Ministry of Defence. Set to host over 300 world-class military manufacturers from fifty countries, the show will be at least 15% larger than in 2007. The latest technology and developments in weapons systems, UVAs, missiles, tanks, guided weaponry, launchers, transports, armoured vehicles and marine vessels will be on display. And the ever-more important areas of Internal Security will feature state-of-the-art electronic security measures, satellite and CCTV technology, intruder alarm systems, body armour, hard armour plates, ballistic helmets, riot control equipment, protective gloves, night vision equipment, communication jamming devices and cutting-edges security developments that cover both private and government needs. Overall the exhibition will be a fascinating showcase for internal and homeland security from many of the world’s leading companies. Post show research from Defense & Security 2007 revealed that 94% of all visitors rated the exhibition as “very useful.” This year’s
show will have eight national pavilions, underlining the
popularity of the single country / multiple company way of
exhibiting. At Defense & Security 2009, there will be national
pavilions from USA, Germany, Czech Republic, Korea, France,
Israel, Singapore, and Public of Belarus.
Following are some of the world’s leading defense and security companies you can expect to meet at Defense &Security 2009: Am General, SAAB, MBDA, IMI, Rafael, Lockheed Martin,Thales and many others. Opportunities for military personnel to meet and discuss technologies with world-class manufacturers have never been better and as of this writing some 57 official invitations have been sent to foreign defence ministers. Over 200 official delegates and non-official delegations are expected to attend the event. Running in conjunction with the show will be several highly informative seminars and conferences. Arranged by the Thai Ministry of Defence and the show organizer, these technical presentations will cover a range of relevant areas and be delivered by experts in their field. Admittance is fee!. These events also provide excellent networking opportunities as they’ll be attended by top military brass along with senior Thai and foreign ministers and officials-especially from ASEAN countries. ASIAN DEFENCE MINISTERS MEETING TO BE LOCATED WITH ‘DEFENSE & SECURITY’ 2009 Adding importance to Defense & Security 2009 the Asean Defence Ministers Meeting (ADMM) will now take place two days prior to Thailand’s major bi-annual defence exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand Organized by
the Thai Ministry of Defence, ADMM is a high-level meeting of
Ministers of Defence from ASEAN countries. It will include
senior delegates and VIPs, most of whom are expected to attend
Defense & Security 2009 which opens in Bangkok on the 4th
of November
